Wealth, fame, power... Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates, attained this and everything else the world had to offer. And his dying words drove countless souls to the seas. Roger was the most successful pirate in history, and the only man to conquer the Grand Line and claim the One Piece. He was eventually captured and executed at his birthplace, Loguetown.
Associates – The "King of the Pirates" traditionally refused to enter alliances with other pirate groups, nor did he accept subordinate groups as some Emperors of the Sea do today. Instead, Roger relied on his relatively small crew to conquer the Grand Line, with famous individuals such as "Dark King" Rayleigh, and "Red-Haired" Shanks being former members.
